Generation z is transforming travel planning habits

Artificial intelligence is becoming an increasingly prominent tool in the way people envision, organize and experience travel. Its adoption is particularly strong among younger travelers, who have incorporated these digital solutions with a natural ease that sets them apart from older generations. The trend points to a profound transformation in the relationship between tourists, technology platforms and travel businesses.

Sixty-nine percent of travelers from Generation Z, comprising people aged 18 to 28, already use artificial intelligence at some stage of their journeys. This figure includes both pre-trip planning and the use of AI tools while traveling. It is six times higher than the rate recorded among baby boomers, a group in which only 11% report relying on this technology.
