Malta is preparing to become the focal point of the international dialogue on travel and tourism as it hosts the 26th World Travel & Tourism Council, WTTC, Global Summit. Valletta will welcome the event from 7 to 9 October 2026, bringing together more than 200 chief executives, senior business leaders, public officials and representatives of international organisations linked to one of the world’s most dynamic economic sectors.

The gathering reflects tourism’s growing strategic importance at a time shaped by technological transformation, changing consumer behaviour, the need to stimulate investment and rising demand for sustainable models. Over three days, participants will examine the trends reshaping travel, the challenges facing destinations and the opportunities emerging from an increasingly connected and diverse industry.
